This project is fundamentally based on the things that I learned during my internship at Honeywell Aerospace. I had initially used nTop at home for a project for my experimental statistics class. I was surprised to learn that nTop was being used professionally during my first week of my internship. And oh boy did I not realize the capability of the software. As such, I decided to make use of its advanced capabilities in fluid analysis for heat exchangers!

  1. Design Requirements Defined: Set up initial design parameters like wall thickness, surface area, heat transfer rate, etc.


  2. Data Collection & Preprocessing: Setting up code for initial heat transfer calculations to inform later design.

  3. Exploratory Design Analysis: Setting up simulations in nTop for lattice/TPMS selection, among other things.
